Why is hibernate not updating the student object in persistent state? why is it creating a new row instead of modifying the existing row? Didnt understand this point. If you can kindly explain please.

hello sir, this the good tutorial for beginners like me. i am working on hibernate. i have one doubt.
i have one master table and 2 non relative tables.
now i want to retrieve the data from 2 non relative tables with the help of master table key.
Ex: MASTER(masterId, mastername)
TABLE1(tbaleid, tablename, masterid) and TABLE2(table2id, table2name, masterid)

now my query is select t1.id, t2.id from t1, t2 where t.masterid=t2.masterid
