I don't think you understood the "oh snap!" "you've got the power" reference. Snap! is a Eurodance group who came out with the song "The power!" In 1990. It was a huge hit all over the world

10:50 i played the game for the first time in call a few weeks ago and i instantly noticed this. Was in call with a friend so i blessed him with my amazing recreation of the song

One secret you missed out on (That might be kinda rare, it's hard to tell) is that sometimes when you reload the rebar gun, it instead goes flying out of your hands. It's just an animation and it does come back when you switch weapon. I also remember this animation being super old, it was there when I played the earliest test version.

The "We will rock you" easter egg is by accident. The devs didn't implement it intentionally. It's a coincidence.

The Rebar syringe makes me think of the crusader's crossbow from the medic in Team fortress 2.
you fire a big syringe that damages enemies and heals teammates.

As a programmer, I'm confident the other types of rebar ammo are "dead code"... stuff that was put in for prototyping that nobody bothered to fully remove because it wasn't going to be visible to the players anyway.

Hookshot is famous weapon from Legend of Zelda that is part grappling hook gun and part winch. In LoZ Twilight Princess we get to dual wield two Hookshots, which leads to what is basically Web swinging like spiderman.

The syringe could be funny when they finally flesh out multiplayer.

when looking at the planet mesh via an extraction tool like umodel, you can see that the objects on the planet are actually the same as the crashed pod you find the hard drives from.

The syringe rebar is probably what the alien parts are going to be used for. They did say that the remains will have another use in future and that makes sense to me

The big mountain in the distance that you can see at the end of the video is a replica of the Matterhorn in Switzerland

I ran into a jetpacking hog last night. I had no idea they were a thing and thought the game glitched out. He was over in the crater lakes area by a crash site. Good to know that its part of the game!

I think the tape pickup itself is also a nod to Tony Hawk Pro Skater as the hidden tapes in those games also floated and spun in a similar way.
