It is down to a lack of knowledge, wisdom and lack of study of the word. I attend a Pentecostal church thankfully we do not behave like this. I spoke to a woman in my church during a service because of this type of behaviour as she was disrupting the service. She told me when the Spirit takes hold of her she has no control. I sent her to the word, she didn’t like it but she had to listen. Unfortunately this behaviour is learned and very American, personally I hate it. Is there a time to be exuberant is praise? yes. Is there a time to sing and dance before God? yes. BUT it must be done in decency and in order and the reality is a lot of the things like this are just for show because I know most don’t ‘worship’ like this when no one but God is watching. People need to stop behaving like this and blaming the Holy Spirit.

I’ve been knocked out by the spirit multiple times literally sleep in the spirit at the alter. When God shows up he shows out, his power is overwhelming. Gods spirit is literally real power that can’t be displayed.
