HP Proliant ML310 Gen8 First Start & Configuration

In this video we show the powering and configuration of a HP Proliant ML310 Gen8 server. As we see on the video during the initialization period the server restart itself three times. That is because we do a memory upgrade.

Hello, thank for the video from 2014 :))
I'm new to servers, i have an I.T certification and one of my clients want to upgrade from windows server 2008 r2 to 2016.
This server cames with 2 Disks only, so i suggested to get him a third disk and install the new 2016 windows server on the RAID 5 backup solution redundancy.
So what i'm thinking to do is:
1- backup his files else where and create a restoration point in a seperated disk
2- start the machine with 3 disks and configure the raid 5 system on the HP server then install OS server 2016
3- after that, get his files and softwares back so he can continue working while i'm configuring ADDS, GPO..ect
i'm doing it well, or i'm missing something.

I have the same server, But it's stuck on 90% progress, and it does not show anything else. is this a hardware problem ?
I could not access bios also. during this configuration.

Hi, how loud it will be after fitting an old passive graphic card? I got an HP DL380 G7 and with the graphic card the fans speed is almost double, which is too much. Do you think this ML will be more silent?

Hola Tengo un servidor PROLIANT ML150 G6, yo le puedo colocar DISCO (SSD)? para instalar el sistema operativo winserver 2012 r2. teniendo en cuenta que este va a trabajar como servidor de dominio. Gracias

Lo único que no comprendí, es porque dejas el disco de la Bay2 sin RAID.

I am having trouble trying to install my os on my server. For some reaon it isn't booting off my external cdrom drive. I am trying to install ESXI
