In 2024, a time when India has seen maximum penetration of internet and mobiles even in the most remotest of the villages, the village folks can be fooled to believe that a fake SBI bank is infact a genuine banking unit. Many people would argue that this happened because of the high unemployment rates in the country. But the question is, Would these folks pay the same amount to get a private job? The answer in most cases would be, no. It's this frenzy to land up a "secure govt. job" that fuels such scams.

Atleast one police officer is almost always involved in scams like this.

One of my acquaintances had an experience like this. Fortunately, he didn't believe in paying for a job.

He found out that the job consultant involved is the son of a police officer, and has full unofficial protection.
The police officer also would advise his fraudulent son to not trap many people simultaneously, and to do it few at a time, so he could handle it effortlessly if things go south.

We really must demand stringent laws and actions in legislature for public department and government officials.
