Learn All 40 Drum Rudiments:

The swiss army triplet is a unique one-way rudiment that can be played in both right and left hand leads. Unlike most of the other rudiments, this rudiment isn't designed to alternate. Instead, it just loops with either the right or left hand taking the primary roll. This can make it fun for simple beats, or even unique drum fills.

As a bassist I do appreciate the effort put into training this. Also, I know the pieces fit.

Finally someone actually explaining this @ a pace I can follow. This particular stroke was introduced into some beginner drills and I couldn’t figure it out until I found your ‘How To’ video. Thank you so much 🙏 🥁. I’m trying to get my timing back after a seizure and head injury 🤕. I played drums in the marching band in high school but recently got serious about learning guitar. When your once perfect and reliable timing is lost it’s incredibly frustrating. I practice my guitar 🎸 2 & 1/2-3 hours everyday and now drum patterns and drills almost 2 hours. I’m getting better but it’s slow. Now I know what to do when there’s a Swiss Triplet in the middle of an exercise. Thanks.
👍🌞☮️🥁🎵💖

I'm very, very confussed right now. I needed to master the triplet for Drumeo's Warm-Up for Beginners video (the fourth excercise), and I struggled with it for half an hour. Then I come here and can do it in five minutes.

I would recommend trying it combining R with L so it goes like this: lR R L rL L R, a little bit simmilar to Single Flammed mill but without the last 16th note of each lines.. Its hard but rewarding

Amazing how I couldn't even begin to understand how to do this at 100bpm, then within 2 minutes of watching this video, I can do it! Thanks so much!!!

"To learn how to apply this rudiment..." watch Danny Carey play Pneuma and tear his drumset up for like 13 minutes 😂

When they mentioned it back in high school, it always sounded hard and I never knew what it was but now, I know and it's relatively easy.

I always thought this was alternating. Thanks Bozzio.

You can also think of it as a double stroke roll where it overlaps at the flam to become a triplet.

I can feel Danny Carrey breathing down your neck. In a good way.

The Drum pad is very cool, it's separated for delivering different sounds i think.

Is there an existing rudiment that goes lR L R IR L R...because I can do it much faster that way??? I'm SO CONFUSED when it comes to flam based stuff! 🤔

Well done. Also, I make sure to never wear The Grudge like a crown.

for some reason I’ve always had a massive preference for left handed flams so I’ve found it really hard to do any of the rosetta stoned triplet parts cos I always end up doing rL R L rL R L instead of lR R L lR R L like a fucking dork
