Ringo Starr Announces New Country Album
Ringo Starr is set to release an album in the future, focusing on country music, which was a key part of his career with the Beatles. Starr is working with T Bone Burnett, who has been working in Nashville and L.A. on nine songs. The album will be out in October. Starr recorded the country-influenced Beaucoup of Blues in 1970, with Pete Drake and a band of country pickers. The album is untitled. Starr's All-Starr Band will return to tour later this month, featuring Steve Lukather, who Starr considers his last best friend.
