I’ve been there and that town is so cool! We went to a restaurant while visiting there that was haunted! The locals embrace it and told great stories about their ghosts. Great video! Thank you 😊

One of my bucket list travel locations is Salem, Mass. I know it's turned into more of a tourist trap, but the history of the city is so deep and rich. If you haven't been to St. Augustine yet, Whit, I would recommend a visit there!

I have always wanted to visit these cemeteries in Salem. Such a horrible time where if you were accused nothing would stop your death. The ways they put them to death were horrific.

That’s really neat! I’m surprised they were given a decent burial. It’s like, from time to time, people were accused of being vampires. They’d get so paranoid that they’d dig the person up and remove the heart. If you get to Mississippi, check out the Yazoo City Witch. A really fascinating story and grave.

I have lived in Salem all of my life, and this was very well done. I'm glad that you enjoyed your visit and you definitely gave people a lot of insight.

I took a trip there when I was young in the late 90's. I met Laurie Cabot who autographed a book for me, I got to see so much! It was a trip I won't forget, it was my first trip on my own & I'm in Indiana. I love history & really like to see when it's preserved/maintained! Thank you, great video as always. Love, hugs & God Bless you 💕💕

This has always been an interesting story. It is really so sad that it isn't just a story but a dark time in history. Thanks for sharing it and showing us around the memorial and grave yard. I really do enjoy your videos!

Well done, thanks for this story. I am glad that they were all exonerated. RIP to all of the victims of this terrible injustice.

Thanks for another history lesson Chris. You explain things so well and so clearly. You should be a teacher.

I'm going there next month, I love paranormal and spooky, yet comfortable scenery, especially under the moon or sunsets in the cool autumn. This is my first ever vacation, so I'll enjoy every second of it.

it is soothing to see, that sometimes someone seems to place flowers on the stones.

I live in Chicago and go to Salem every few years. The dark history is very harsh of our country for sure. Yet, it's such a beautiful place. Those puritans were evil to families, women and children then they started hanging men. Probably because most of Salem's women were dead. I always wanted to know where all those that were accused of witchcraft are actually buried. A historian once told me that their families would bury them on private property with no head stone. The cemetery is just a memorial ( in the side section) for the accused. Very sad.

If you want to visit another Witch Trials site check out "Salem Town". Otherwise known as Danvers, Mass. The Rebecca Nurse house is located at 149 Pine St. In a field (at least it was a field the last time I was there) behind the house is another cemetery associated with the trial and it's victims. I had family that lived on a bordering street and enjoyed visiting the house and grounds.
