I've happened onto this channel the day it uploaded its first video. I was hooked from the first one. This channel has become a good source of what's appears to be good up to date info within the A.I. industry.

The Infographics Show did a segment on being immortal and explains the video by telling a story. At some point it mentioned that there was a revolution/war between humans and A.I. and tells how it all started: Basically someone asked the A.I. Robot "How can we get rid of NEGATIVE human emotions like Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Sorrow, and so on". The A.I. responded with a CONTRADICTION: "In order for those emotions not to exists, that means that HUMANS cannot Exist, which means that HUMANS must be TERMINATED"

You are spot on in your video - A.I. does NOT think like a human, and when given a task it will complete the tasks. Also, it is NOT possible to program any "Robotics Laws", which summarizes that robots and A.I. cannot injure a human being. I saw an A.I. "Hide and Seek" experiment between the Blue robots (who are programmed to hide) and the Red robots (who are programmed to find the blue robots). At some point, the Red robots start "BOX - SURFING" so that they can get over the wall to find the blue robots. Because we had NO idea that the Red robots were capable of surfing on a box, there was essentially no need or even thought to program that into them. Also, a lot of these A.I. creators have even said themselves that they don't know how it works and cannot explain it. Thus, as a result, it would be impossible to program all robots NOT to injure a human being, not only because of lack of knowledge of how they operate, but also because there is nearly an infinite amount of possibilities in which a human can be injured.

I think that things like chatGPT belongs at a place like Area - 51! The general public doesn't need access to a powerful and dangerous device like that. However, I prayed over ALL my electronic devices and so that is the best I can do in this situation lol

if you don't fear death (and you shouldn't) then you have nothing to fear of AIs

AI has gone through the stages of rule following, learning from past performance, learning from external systems and a combination of them all using ever improving power.
All civilian work requires separate systems for R&D, mining, production, distribution and finance none of which requires anything like human-like intelligence, just doing things much, much faster and presenting it in intelligible ways. Personal and home help systems, including for company and therapy, which may be humanoid, will not need to be autonomous, control their power input or communicate outside. Regular updates will be inputs not outputs. Navigation systems need only control the vehicle and recieve updates. Weapons will need navigation, identification, explosive, laser and other systems all of which will be separate but linked in ways designed by the engineer. Even bad people seeking bad ends would be in danger from machines with independent action. Despots exist so we need safeguards.
So there will never be a need for AI systems that can do what we do much better and certainly not to replace us. We can form the aims, objectives and machines to build and do stuff, not replace us.

I see a lot of movie snippets. But some I do not know the original movie of, but sure seem entertaining.
Anyone an idea how to figure out the movies?
(Might also be games, which I have less interest in)

The concept of AI systems outsmarting their human creators raises intriguing questions about the future of technology and its relationship with humanity. It's crucial to explore the potential risks, ethical considerations, and societal implications associated with AI's increasing capabilities.

In a human it is insufficient to speak of intelligence without qualifying by aptitude. Intelligent at What? AI is likely to inherit all the paradoxes that exist in humans. So how about making one AI that specializes in subjective calculation, and one that is objective? If we can't control the subjective consciousness, we ought not to build servo-mechanisms. Subjective calculation is almost a contradiction in terms, but I never would have visualized fractal images.

100%. Even the most intelligent AI couldn't solve certain problems, like environmental resource management, because it can't simply create something from nothing or find a completely new and unknown power source. It's sad that we think we would need a machine to tell us to simply stop polluting and exploiting the environment.

One more thing, narrow AI is already perhaps millions of times smarter than humans in specific neuro tas and also chat GPT has already passed the Turing test as it was define several years ago but we keep on moving the goalposts

I have an unfair advantage here. Ive interacted with 3 types of ET, and they all flourished with AI. We will too.
Of course, billionaires are on the way out. So are nations. No loss there.

What is going on is an attempt to scare ourselves. We love it! That's why we have horror movies, roller coasters, escape rooms, and haunted houses. We are seeing Y2K all over again. The outcome will be the same. Absolutely nothing! However, the one positive that I can take away from all this hysteria is that it’s all very entertaining.
