MWR In Depth: M60E4 LMG

The M60 may be the gun Rambo uses, but not me. I'm not a big fan of this weapon but it certainly deals a ton of damage. Being able to two shot kill people without stopping power is an impressive feat in my book. Oh, and the iron sights are a sin against mankind lol

Just in case no one knows this: The model of gun actually used in game is an M60E3. The E4 has a different bipod, shorter barrel and a much larger handguard.

In my opinion, M60 is THE superior weapon in MWR. I know statistically maybe not but it is a beast. In any case this is my weapon of choice and I really appreciate the vid. Thank you for posting!

1911 pistol
Smoke (to counter sniper lines of sight)
Frag
Blue perk - any
Red - stopping power

The M60 is one of my go to guns in quite literally any game I find it in. Most every game you find it in will have it as one of the top damage LMGs(EX: The Division, just about every CoD game) as well as some pretty unforgiving recoil, if you only take the recoil stats into account. Another thing that stays consistent is the 550-650 RPM, so that unforgiving recoil is reduced because the fire rate is slow enough to balance out that high recoil. It's just such a consistent gun, regardless of if it's the Vietnam M60 or the more recent M60E6 configuration, in all the games it shows up in.

Im one of those M60 lovers. I love the high damage and back when this game was first released i actually thought that the gun looked like a tank cannon when you held it at the hip :-P

This is actually my favorite Lmg in both Cod4 and Mwr. No one can change my opinion towards this gun. You may have bashed this weapon in the guide, but I still love it. That 2-shot kill... It's so good that it becomes scary towards the opponents that have to face this weapon's might.

I raise your m60 iron sights with BO1's uzi iron sights. Easily the worst in all of cod.
Also the M60 is amazing. Just tap fire with this thing, man. It's a laser beam two shot.

The M60E4 was better in MW3, IMO. Sure it had inferior stats compared to the COD4 and BO versions, but the just the fact that the both the Stalker and Quickdraw perks and Rapid Fire/Extended Mags attachments exist make it a CQB god.
