My son plays sports and had this. The ACV really works! He began exfoliating his feet with store bought sea salt every night while in shower, , then once he got out of shower he would soak his feet with 2 cups of ACV to i gallon water for 30 minutes. Each morning he put Vicks vapor rub on his feet, before he put his socks and shoes on. He sprayed his shoes with some type of over the counter fungal foot spray and washed his shoes once a week. He did this faithfully for a month. He continues to put Vicks on his feet every day because he likes the way it feels. This was 2 years ago and the fungus has never returned.

I went to the doctor and told him that I've had athlete's feet for decades and can't get rid of it. He just shrugged and asked if I was using over the counter stuff. I said yes. He shrugged again. That's my doctor experience. So it looks like I could be getting better advice from youtube videos than from my actual doctor. How sad is that. That was a VA doctor.

I suffered from my early teens to my mid 30's. One day I was speaking to my mom about it cause she had the same issues. She told me she got rid of it years ago. Son, you use one shoe all week long right ? Yes and so ? Buy 2 or 3 pairs and rotate that way the fungus dies in the shoe. That was 20 plus years ago and I own over 20 pairs of boots . Never had a problem again.

I had athletes foot since 1988. Sometimes it was bad, like bleeding after I peeled off stinky dead skin between my toes and crusty cracking skin all over the bottoms of my feet. Two months ago (Feb 2024) I started a new regime where every morning before I put my socks on I sit down and spray my feet and between my toes with a generic athletes foot spray. EVERY.... DAY. Childhood was the last time I remember my feet looking so good. I am so happy! And though it appears to be gone I still spray my feet. Every morning.

have found that if you buy a box of baking soda and apply it or soak your feet in water almost until they prune up, then place the baking soda in a pan and rub your feet in it, it will go away in hours. in order to have athletes foot, you have to have acid, acid creates the environment for fungus.... the baking soda neutralizes the acid instantly and the fungus goes away fast.

After years and years of trying to do whatever to get rid of this stuff nothing ever worked, I’m 25 this is the only thing that makes me self conscious about myself, yesterday I soaked my feet for 30 minutes with epsom salt and AC vinegar and scrubbed them with one of those foamy on one side with the metal on the other and dried them off and then lathered my feet with some Vicks and dude after one day I can see such a difference and this is day one out of a month, thanks Doc I appreciate you!

I've had fungus on my toes and big toe nails only since i was 11
I'm 34 now...
I learned way too late in life that paying attention to my feet would help me in life....
Honestly it's hard to walk up to a lady at the beach or pool party knowing i have toe fungus.... So I'm working on using salt soaks for my feet and i always exfoliate now. I use vapor rub and other herb oils on my feet and it's going away. Hopefully it will be gone by this summer so i can finally have the confidence to be able to look people in the face 👀

Explains why mine keeps coming back. I havent’ been doing it long enough. But also, for those who work long hours with the same work boots, or anyone really. Get one of those foot dryers. You just put them in yours shoes, and 8 hours later, they are dry. IT HELPED SO MUCH. It will keep the shoe from keeping that moisture.

Back in my younger days (50's baby) before entering the pool at our local YMCA, we were required to step into a Soap and Bleach bath bowel built into the concrete to kill bacteria....

It’s important to treat the environment of the feet as much as the feet them selves. If someone has foot fungus, chances are they may have a colony also in their shoes that they should treat in conjunction with the feet. Cleaning commonly barefoot-walked areas is also important, such as, showers, bathroom mats, and any areas where you walk barefoot. Frequent changing of bath towels is also imperative. Sometimes socks can hold colonies that are stubborn to get rid of just from normal laundering, so purchasing of new socks is also important.

I went to podiatrist today for fungus.. He examined my feet with gloves, and he was touching my infected foot and then proceeded to touch my other foot and CROSS CONTAMINATE..Then at the close of the visit offered me a handshake, while wearing infected examination gloves... I'm appalled..

I have been a restaurant server for many years. Wearing tight shoes and On My Feet for hours a day. I've gotten athlete's foot several times. Apple cider vinegar always works immediately. I just put it on some cotton balls and stick them between my toes before I go to sleep for a few nights in a row, completely disappears
