Ephesians 5:22-33 Love your Spouse as you do the Church

Показать описание
This passage shows that marriage is a sacred union that reflects the relationship between Christ and his church. It also shows that both husbands and wives have roles and responsibilities that require love, respect, sacrifice and submission. Jesus wants us to love our spouses as he loves us, with grace, mercy, forgiveness and faithfulness.
This is a more controversial topic and congregation has different interruptions to it. I found that while Others have accused the apostle Paul of being a male chauvinist, one who didn’t respect women or see their value. If we consider what Paul wrote within his culture, however, we see that Paul had a high view of men and women. He understood how they can best work together in marriage to reflect Christ’s love for us. This false concept of submission is often used to manipulate and control women. It advocates quiet obedience and subservience and denies a woman’s irreplaceable value in her marital relationship. It also ignores the potential for a man to be heavy-handed and unloving in his attempt to be the “ruler” of his home. The true meaning if you read the works before and after that the love and companionship of the woman is to be cherrished as a next to holy object as he makes reference in comparing love to church as love between spouses. If you wouldn't abusive Jesus you wouldn't be abusive to Jesus right.
