Adriana and I went to the largest indoor market in Latin America (for a mini shopping spree), located in Guadalajara, Mexico. It has plenty of craft items (and even some fake stuff). Mercado San Juan de Dios a.k.a Mercado Libertad is three floors of non-stop shopping and worth a visit. Find out, how our experience went and leave me a comment telling me about your experiences in Mexican Markets.. Do they differ from Asian, European, or American ones? One popular drink you must try in Guadalajara is the tejuino it has a weird taste but has nieve de limon or ice cream lemon.

When I went there the guys didn't like people taking video. I just had to stick my GoPro to my backpack so it would not be as noticeable.

Well there's the zoo at the North, is one of the best in México and there's the theme park of the city aside.
There's also Acuario Michin, it's the best aquarius in all Mexico and it's near to downtown.
There's Andador Independencia in Tlaquepaque, it's a great walkroad full of culture.
Or if you want more like fun at night there's Sao Paulo too, it's like a small Chapultepec Avenue but more modern and fashionable

In response to your haggling question... it shouldn't be accepted anywhere. These people are trying to make ends meet for their home so haggling is not only disrespectful but degrading as well. beyond this...loved your video. thank you for the content!

You can pretty much find anything in that market! Funny to see you found the horse saddles as well.

The tortas 1:53 looks good. the place kind of reminds me of Olvera Street in LA, except prices aren't as cheap. should've bought that electric massage since the guy tried so hard. always go to the place with the longest line!

Mexican markets are phenomenal...you can find really good huaraches (sandals) made of leather, candy, clothes...this has been my favorite video because of the Marimba 😁

I have never seen a market that big, amazing. I bought a small rug and had it for a long time, it was great and colorful and I enjoyed bargaining for it, back then my Spanish was much worse. Again great video.

I love that place! We live in Chicago, but we are visiting this Friday til Monday. Short trip but I'm so excited! We are taking two friends that have never have been to GDL. I have bought two Native Mexican dancer handmade outfits there. They have everything! We will stay at Americana, by the Glorieta Ninos Heroes. I'm originally from Guadalajara, and my husband is Midwestern and so are our friends. Thank you for your videos, it is a more laid back representation of casual "tourist" living in my hometown! I love that Adriana is so cool with every experience, I really enjoy your vlog guys :-)

I think you can haggle with the China stuff! The local artesanías are hand made so that’s probably why they flip out!

The sellers do negotiate but they aren’t desperate. They don’t like negotiating with Americans though. Lucky for me I was born in Guadalajara and lived in chapala for 7 years. I go to that market when I travel back to Mexico some times. If you REALLY wanna negotiate with them be nice and have a good vibe. I negotiate with them all the time. I get mostly designer things. Gucci belts, LV, etc. clothing and all that stuff and I take it over here in Sacramento CA and I sell it and I sell out within days. When I go there I don’t really dress THAT nice. Because you don’t wanna give the impression that you have a lot of cash because then they know you’re just being cheap. My jeans were ripped and every person selling fake Levi’s or designer jeans tried talking to me trying to get me to buy and this guy was selling true religion jeans for 400 which is 20 USD and we talked and I got 2 for 400. Also with colognes, I got Gucci cologne for 200 when he wanted 500. And then with belts. This guy wanted 320 and I bought a few for 200 each. Be nice and be cool with them. They’re great people who really wanna do business. Thanks for the video man I miss my city.

My family is from Jalisco and ive been to this market a lot of times. Negotiating is ok. Usually when things are made of good quality they wont bring the prices down that much, but those vendors are very few. The more pieces you buy the more you might be able to bargain. keep in mind that a lot of the vendors have the same things and their competing to sell.
