My Bible for 2025 (ESV Preaching Bible, verse by verse edition)

I’ve been using one Bible for writing for the last several years and decided it was time to switch to a translation I use more regularly. Watch this video to learn about this edition and what I plan on using it for!

I have this Bible, and use it as my prime Bible & translation. Very pleased with it. If they do another update on the ESV Text, it should not be too many word differences, these could be written in the margin. So no need to look for a replacement. Thanks Allan M

My pastor got this Bible as he had an older cross way with a 8point font and needed a vbv with a larger print.
He ended up really not liking it. my friend and I got him the ESV topaz. And he loves it! My pastor gave His son this Bible as he didn’t want it, and for me it really got me into single column bibles! And his son LOVES JT.
The print, paper and wider margins are so nice! Also love that it’s just a text addition. Ready to make into your own personal study bible. I ended up getting a NKJV stridon because of this. Now we are single column buddies.

I'm curious how the paper actually turns out for you? I have this Bible and use it for preaching, but you can see every passage that have preached out of just by looking at the paper. It's like it picks up and holds all the oils from my skin so it actually looks like it's been spilled on. Did it from day one. Very disappointing. The paper on any page I have touched over the last two years is crinkled. It's the only Bible I have that has ever done this

love the CSB verse-by-verse bible. I have the calfskin version. the only thing its missing is paragraph markers.

I snagged the preachers Bible that John MacArthur put out in 2018 I found it for under $500 which is unheard of. It’s so good this one is good also

I never made the CSB jump, I still use the HCSB and KJV 😀

The ESV is definitely the KJV of our day. To me, it’s just a slightly inferior NKJV though. Unfortunately the KJV is the easiest to memorize and I’ve memorized too many epistles to leave it. The modern translations do a much better job in the OT outside the Psalms. The CSB rendering of the Psalms is unpleasant to say the least.

I have no doubt that if the Pope saw this video he would be so proud of you! Picking a "Bible" approved of by the Roman Catholic Church. Sad that you don't use the real Bible.

Why did they remove Acts 8:37 from that bible?

Please use the King James Version. It is the Word of God in the English language.
