I agree with a lot of the points you have mentioned here, I wish DJI would make another version of this camera with a 50mm lens! that would be so dope. It's not going to compete with a mirrorless in terms of image quality but it's close enough to not stick out on an edit, and that's all that matters to me. It's 10X lighter than running a mirrorless on a gimbal, a godsend for solo shooters. Put it on a selfie stick and you got SICK Crane like camera moves using active track, Also useful for shooting crowds, and remote controlling the camera using your phone. Obviously don't shoot the whole wedding only with the pocket, bring a mirrorless to cover medium and closeups (I use 4 cameras total for greater coverage, The osmo and a mirrorless with me, and 2 more cameras on tripods)

I filmed a wedding a couple weeks ago with 4 osmo 3’s and my regular setup with my canon r6 mk2. I use the osmos daily for my work. They’re worth it.

Great video. It's always good to hear the views of someone who uses a piece of equipment professionally. I bought my first 35mm camera in 1973. I can't believe how far we've come.

A wonderful overview with the appreciated inclusion of the vertical/horizontal speed adjustment. I too, had completely missed that pearl. Great job !!!

Thanks for your unbiased observations. The Mic2 allows you to get a duplicate recording of the audio in case something happens. It's pretty amazing in itself that the Pocket 3 can be somewhat competitive with a high end DSLR.

I did my first behind the scene wedding with a pocket last weekend and the video was better than the main. I did have to use some lights and back up every x hours to make sure I don’t lost my data. But it did an excellent job

Cool 'hack' to attach the OSMO Pocket 3 to the gimbal. My 1st thought was the bride/groom's going to think 'what's this guy doing'. But because you attached the pocket 3 the your more professional setup...it works without drawing attention to what your doing. Nice review!

Great info! And at 9:18 there’s something watching you filming above the house. 🏠 👀

I think you know more about this stuff than I do but what is also limiting the Osmo Pocket 3 are the lack of a variable aperture, only giving you the ISO to play with. It is quite a wide open aperture so expect backgrounds somewhat blurred, always. And also the controls are very limiting. Changing ISO means all kinds of steps 3 layers deep into the on screen menu making it slow to use. Furthermore the gimbal has limited movement range.

Can always use product showcase with 240 fps get extra punch in and close focus.

Awesome video, thanks. We have been using our Pocket 3 at weddings since we got one in Novemeber. For us we only use it for certain shots, especially if we are both on tighter lenes I can litterally pull it out of my pocket and get a wide shot that I can mix in with our Sony A7IV's seemlesly. We look at it like all of our gear, just another tool in the kit. Smooth wide angle footage quickly!

Love this comparison video. I've worked a styled shoot a few years back at the Swan House also, great place. I'm also using the Pocket3 for Weddings along with a Canon R6 and Blackmagic 6k Pro. Completely different results from all 3 camera footage (as expected) but the real difference is just in what can be done in post. I love the P3 for it's simple easy to use function and great quality for what it cost. Hit me up to collab some day!!

Shot the Biltmore & Chateau Elan a few weeks ago…. Haven’t had the pleasure of shooting the Swan House yet. Great stuff here man…Beautiful Venue.

I shoot with 4 bodies, just picked up the OSMO Pocket 3 for some personal use but definitely looking to see how I can incorporate it into my Wedding workflow. Good insight here.

I’m on the Falcam F38 as well… couldn’t go back now 😂

Talked about limitations yet the footage on the osmo when the couple were walking towards the camera at 8.22 looks far better stability wise on the osmo to the fx3. Night and day better. The fx3 looked a bit of a mess there
