At about 25:25, I gather from your comments, Steve, that you believe the flame on the tip of the arrow really ignited the huge Olympic cauldron, or a huge gas cloud directly above the cauldron. This may seem cynical, but I had always thought that for showbiz purposes, the cauldron was actually ignited by a behind-the-scenes person the fraction of a second that the arrow passed over (or even close by, if the archer's shot was to some degree errant) the cauldron. I wish you would have asked Peter about this. But maybe this would be like draining the magic from the moment, by revealing secrets about how this amazing stage effect had been done.

Hi Steve. Just come to your channel after following you a while ago on Instagram. Really enjoy the audio version of the podcast. This episode in particular. Your podcast/YouTube deserves far more attention. Keep up the great work.

Steve, just found your channel and have binged watched a dozen in the last 24 hours. The quality of your interviewees is fabulous... but I've seen these folks interviewed before. What's different here is that you are a remarkable interviewer. You're well prepared and use that insight to ask artful questions - questions that draw out what is most interesting to discover. I believe, nuanced interviewing is a highly advanced and rare skill. Much respect and appreciation. I'll be spreading the word!
