So if I legally change my make to "Dank memes" and then make a significant contribution to achieve I can then officially name an astronomical feature "Dank memes crater"

Tranquility base has been appropriately named for the Eagles landmark mission to Moon Apollo 11.

2:58 “must be given Latin names”

This is gonna upset a lot of people back at Earth to have only Eurocentric names.

Who the hell has authority over the moon and what to name places on it? What/who gave them that authority? On Earth it's usually the owner who gets a final say on what to name something. So who owns the moon? And what/who gave them that ownership?

I don't recognize the authority of the people sitting here on Earth, never ever having set one foot on the moon. Just because you name yourself an official doesn't mean you are the authority. You have to at least stake a real claim. To do this, you must first actually visit the place. Then you must mark the place you wish to own and put effort in to it. Then you must defend your claim.

If I point at a piece of dirt and name it, it doesn't make it mine. I must first make sure it has no owner. Then I must make sure I mark it for ownership. Like putting up a fence or sign. Then I must actually put energy in to the piece of ground to lay physical claim to it. Like till the ground and make a garden out of it or something. Until then, I cannot just lay claim nor officially name anything. Because my claim would be just as valid as the next guy who does the same. Because when you turn it in to a garden. You can at least argue that the ground wouldn't be worth anything without your effort. And that the only reason the ground is a garden is because you made it in to one.

I don't know why they need Latin names. Latin is a dead language.
