Jill Tomlinson trained to be a professional opera singer, however due to an unforeseen illness this interrupted her aspirations to be a singer and instead she was forced to now execute her skills in another creative area. Tomlinson pursued a course in journalism but found that she wanted to write stories for children. When Jill Tomlinson wrote the animal stories, it became an instant success, entertaining kids around the world for several decades, a perfect animal books series.
