How a channel can be this detailed and this productive at the same time?!

USB 4.0 is a must for these Mini-PC's to have the option to use an external GPU. I'm happy with my UM690.

Another good mini PC. Using up the last gen Ryzen APU's. Good for general office work and students. Good review 👍

Just picked one up...can't wait to plug it in tonight! THank you ETA Prime for your review! I know I could've gone for the Nucbox 10 with my budget, but I don't need all the power that bad as I cloud game.

Do not listen to haters. I have 17" gaming laptop but its not very comfortable to move. I have bought one of this GMK for retro gaming and projector. I was considering N6000 pocket pc but after your film i changed my mind. Thanks for discount, in this price its matchless.

I'm pretty happy with Ryzen 5500U in PN51-S1, good performer for multitasking with multi monitor.
Yes, Vega 7 is not really that powerful as RDNA2 but still better than Iris XE. With a simple tweak i could play some decent games such as Snowrunner, Transport Fever 2, Cities Skylines and ETS2 / ATS without any difficulties at 1080p.

I found that if there is 32GB of RAM in PN51-S1 then you can set gpu shared vram upto 8GB, rather overkill but still nice if we can do that.

There needs to be better utilization in PCIe in general. A new connector that is universal/reversible and can go up to 8 or 12x lanes, and PCIe should be able to be split into 6 or 12x lanes as well because then you can have an extra 4 lanes on desktops if you need and maybe you can get away 6 lanes if you need 2 lanes for something. More bios should support those. PCI needs to stop just doubling speed every revision and have more flexibility as an option. Maybe USB type X for large PCI eXpress support of many lanes and other features. Maybe even support 250 or 300w somehow which maybe can be used to charge the laptop alongside be used for external GPU and data support. Maybe even use that to power and feed the monitor and other connected accessories so just have a single cable connect from the desktop to the monitor which then becomes a hub for your other accessories.

the fact that it's even running Cyberpunk, God of War, and Forza 5 is amazing, much less at really playable frame rates, albeit at 720p

Whats wild is if this was in a laptop that costs more to make it would be 300 bucks but they still price gouging

This PC got a bios/UEFI update a week ago (NucBox 10 and others also). efi/boot -folder isn't correct and USB stick isn't bootable by default but I got it working. Maybe BootIa32.efi is the problem as an unneeded file but I didn't test properly.

Fan speeds changed from aggressive to loose. Fan speeds are very low and tolerable all the time. I tried MPC-BE and MadVR combo with scaling from 1080p to 2160p. GPU/CPU temps goes near 80 degrees which is acceptable.

Bios has fan PWM for low/mid/high temperatures. I'd like to raise speed at high temps but most likely these are still locked.

Watching your reviews daily, keep up the good work. Any chance you can provide a spreadsheet with the stats for devices you test for quick comparison?

At the price range of around $1000 you might as well buy older Intel Nuc Extreme with a RTX 2060 in it.

I wish AMD had made 2 mobile chips for 4/5000 series, one based on the 4700/5700G with 8CPU cores and 8GPU cores, but then a gaming focused one with 4 cores but more cache per core, fewer PCIe lanes to make room for more GPU, and 12-14 GPU cores

Mini PCs powered by Ryzen 6000 series onwards have better iGPUs & USB 4.0 support, thus a better buy. Those powered by Ryzen 5000 series are better suited for light gaming & productivity unless they added RX 6600M just like HX90G.

I have the Kinhank Super Console X PC. How does this NUC box compare with Batocero 35 or 33?
