Great video Kevin! Now I know exactly what you meant by those holes which you also noticed at Pevensey. As I suggested, slots to secure timber scaffolding was a possibility, but seeing the size and positioning at Frensham, I don't think that fits here. The tower was clearly multi-phased, so unless they were inserted into older work to aid building the top part of the tower, (they are more than twice the size they need to be) they are for something completely different and possibly unique to that church. Worth further information.
