From my experience, fake chicken patties do have a similar texture and can taste quite similar, they're actually the only vegan food I enjoy because they're so close to the original food. One time I broke one up after I had cooked it and put it in a doritos bag with some queso blanco and it was really good.

I'm all for making tasty vegan alternatives, but charging three times the usual price is crazy. Veggies are supposed to be cheaper than meat.

One place i really think you should rate, there a taco bell in hillsboro oregon that bought the location that used to be a long john silver's, and they have a separate (and quite small) long john silvers menu, i think the food is bad, but ive never been to LJS before so i dont have anything to really go off of
