Warby Parker is the second largest online prescription glasses retailer in the US (Zenni sells more units). I've been selling glasses for over 15 years and I decided to see what all the hype was about. I signed up for the 5 frames for 5 days service that Warby Parker offers.

From what I can tell the frames are... just so, so. Not the worst quality and definitely not the best quality available on the market. For the price, it's not a bad deal.

Ok, my WP eyeglasses (Wilkie) finally arrived. After a week's wait, I got a notice that they found a problem such that they needed to re-do the lenses. They didn't say exactly what the problem was. I waited another week and the second pair arrived. The lenses look really sharp and I don't see any issues so far (I have astigmatism, prism, and progressive so it's not a simple prescription).

Funny thing is that the WP person was cleaning my original two-year old eyeglasses and while cleaning snapped the glasses in two right at the bridge. This was a $300 Oliver Peoples frame. He apologized profusely and said pick out any frame and he'd comp them for his mistake. The original frame was old and discolored so I didn't have an issue. What's amazing is my old lenses popped right into the the new WP frame without any changes whatsoever. So I walked out of WP with two new frames.

That said, even though they look and feel great the frame quality is clearly not high-end. They creak when you take them on/off, and the hinges are single not double hinged. I wear glasses every waking hour as a necessity so we'll see how they hold up over the long term.

From what I've heard these are just the 'try on pair" so they've been tried on alot I'm assuming (but yes they should have cleaned them) the ones u actually get are a new pair so they would be tighter and less to no flaws

I loved my warby parker frames that I got about 2.5 years ago. The only issue that I had was that they swapped the +/- on my prescription so I was sent a farsighted pair instead of a nearsighted pair. I was moving at the time and they had to send my correct pair to a different address. The customer service was fairly quick to respond (took like 1-2 days if I remember) and they sent me the correct pair with free shipping and free return shipping on the incorrect ones. Overall was a pretty good experience but just mildly annoying. I’m planning to order another pair soon because the anti glare coating they have was my favorite of all lenses before.

i got the try on home and i send them back and they told me tht they haven’t gotten them back the frames and am so mad because they are going to charge me but i did send it back and i don’t have them i don’t have the control of the shipping is something that disappointed me about this company and i did a review for my friends in social media

I have seen a ton of single barrel hinges on a ton of designer frames.... Warby Parker also has frames with mutiple barrel hinges.

Yes I’ve heard from a lot of people the glasses are dirty. I have ordered two different times they were clean to me. I hope they fix it they def know about it. I ordered a pair last year they held up great I even laid on them one time and was able to snap them back into place. 😀 I just ordered a new pair they are in the mail I got the clear rose color in hallie. Super excited.

The frames they send you for try on are not like the ones you get when you order a real
pair from them. The try ons are lower quality and the finished product ones are much nicer
