Ya gotta hunt down "The Sensational Spider-Man" to catch this story. Particularly issues 37-40! Subscribe for more!

When Peter said “do it” to Mephisto that was literally the writers forcing the words out of his mouth because they made an executive decision that this is how things would be from now on.

No more nuance, no more highway, just their way.

It’s stuff like this that makes me hate One More Day that much more.

This just makes One More Day more stupid. All that setup to show Peter can go on & then a complete reversal.

Yeah, One More Day only exists because the head honcho of the Marvel Comics division absolutely hated MJ and wanted Peter to be single again.

As a life long venom fan I still hate how they retconned Eddie’s cancer to be fake. AND THEN REALIZED “oh shit wait no it was real” AND RETCONNED THE RETCON so his cancer was some mind over matter bs.

If the writer aren't making Peter's life hell, they'll be assassinating his character by writing garbage like this.

May has been an old woman since she was created, she’s lived a long and good life

Here what I think should've been done in one more day. make the world forget Peter is Spider-Man, then there's two options have mj forget about him being Spidey which leads to Peter rebuilding his relationship with her. Or we get mj and Peter getting a daughter and maybe when all new all different started we can get Miles taking on the main Spider-Man role.

This moment right here, and what came next, destroyed any trust or belief in most of the fanbase that Peter Parker will EVER get to have a happy life in any way or be free from an eternal status quo, just because those up top can't comprehend a superhero actually growing up, having a wife/kids and eventually letting someone else take up the mantle. All because "we need him to be the same or kids/teens can't relate anymore and thus no more infinite money fountain".

As long as the specter of One More Day haunts the series and isn't finally, fully retconned or undone at last, no one will ever believe anything any staff at Marvel say on Peter Parker getting change or a better life.

One More Day is crazy cause its literally a story about how actually you CAN’T move on from the death of loved one, that’s stupid!

Higher ups: We can't lose Aunt May! She's the heart of the story!

Writer: But she's at peace and ready to move on! How do we save her without making it feel like a copout?

Higher ups: Simple. We have Peter sell his marriage to Satan.

Writer: ...are you serious?

Higher ups: Do you want to keep your job?

Every time I hear more about One More Day i actual wonder what crack the creators were on when making it

Like no can't have Aunt may die instead let's mess with future a bit and all the last 30+ OF Mary Jane and Peter by having him sell his marriage for someone who one was ready to die, two can still be contacted like Uncle Ben is every so often through the mediums of Madame Web, Doctor Strange, and all the other magic users in spiderman knows and in owes him

Heck God HIMSELF CAME to talk to him about this shit and he said Nahhh

Generally, this can easily be done when Aunt May dies, this gives Peter two choices where he still has his identity and is afraid that MJ would get hurt or second he goes and has Doctor Strange have him forget people he is Spider-man, just like he did in the comics. He can still have MJ but it could be interesting because MJ would forget he is Spider-man.

*Fisk needed to be humbled, Peter destroyed his reputation. 😂*

I hope one day the writers bring this up and say the reason why Peters life is constantly shit is because it’s punishment for his actions here.

God damn, it's like the writers were doing everything possible to force the executives to change their minds on completely destroying Spider-Man, as a character, and they still went through with it. Because, "Spider-Man was most popular before he got married and grew up!"

Is this Fucking One more day?

So Peter is his own worst enemy. He ignored both his Aunt and God and went to a demon for "help". I wo der how Shakespeare would've written this
