I've never been one, married 28yrs this Aug., Have not had sex since my wife woke up Wed, May 12th, 2012, a massive case of Bell's Palsy, which looked like a stroke, she was diagnosed with a golf ball sized brain tumor, our sex life ended, but here we are, I take care of her as I promised and keep the covenant I made with God in our vows, He has blessed us in all manner of righteousness as we keep Him first in our lives, all we can do now is let others know that He is the way to eternal life, and put God an Jesus an the Holy Spirit first in your life, He will bless you.

This so true! Marriage counsellors should be explaining this to couples and not focus only on how the other spouse can help the disgruntled one!

...and I'll add something that you've said before. That pride is the root of all sin. We love and serve our spouse as an act of worship to God, not because "we deserve a certain type of marriage." It's prideful to think we are owed anything. We are not good people, deserving of hell and the full wrath of God. God uses marriage to change us. Spiritual maturity understands that and is looking for and allowing God to use the hardships in marriage to make you into the image of Christ.

We all fall short of the glory of God. God is not an adulterer, so we must not be spiritual adulterers to Him. Adultery is against God before it's against your spouse. So, again, there's a worship issue. Worship of self (pride) vs. God; even when marriage is "hard."

Never thought of it this way. It makes sense. I've been very bitter by all the abuse I suffered under my Ex, and although I have not lead a life of promiscuity, in my heart hovers a strong desire to engage in this type of sin. I pray for delivery and peace.
