OXI One - Matriceal Mode Quick Demo

Matriceal Mode is one of the new features of the 3.0 UPDATE for the OXI One sequencer, and it is tons of fun. This video is a quick demo of the generative mode with 4 independent sequencing tracks, each with 9 different and independent parameter lanes:
- TRIGGER
- GATE
- PITCH
- INTERVAL (with MIN and MAX settings)
- VELOCITY
- OCTAVE
- RETRIGGER
- TRIGGER PROBABILITY
- GLIDE (CV)

They are independent parameter tracks or lanes because they can all have different:
- SPEED
- PLAYBACK DIRECTION
- START AND ENDPOINTS

Plus, each sequencing track can have different:
- MIDI CHANNEL
- ROOT NOTE

All parameters are randomizable with a simple tap.

You even have a built-in Euclidean sequencer to draw triggers quickly.

Some of the parameters have a chance of happening per step, which makes it even more unpredictable! 🎛

💡Assigning different lengths and speeds to different parameter lanes can create evolving and complex patterns with very few steps; this is the magic of the Matriceal mode. And you have 4 tracks in one single sequencer to experiment with!

I've always loved Ableton's Mono Sequencer which is basically a matriceal sequencer, and I've wished for years that I could reproduce it with a standalone hardware sequencer, and you guys answered my prayers! Amazing update, so excited to get lost in it.

Can we generate random notes on each of the tracks ? Like we can do in the mono mode ?

It looks like this is another one of those sequencers that has no concept of chord progressions and people always make stuff with it that is stuck in the 1 chord tonal center.
For example this demo is the same as usual, stuck playing noodles around the 1 chord of C minor pentatonic with no progression of any kind.
These types of sequencers are part of the reason why a lot of Eurorack music is so static.
