Western culture is rotten to the core.
The history of Palestine is a testament to the absolutely disgusting colonialism of the last 3 centuries.
Christian Zionism and Western exceptionalism are blots on Western culture.
South African Christians have been outraged by the Israeli atrocities against the Christians in Gaza and Lebanon.
Oh for the days when Muslims, Jews and Christians could live together in harmony, respecting each other.

After I became Muslim, I went through almost exactly the same process you went through. At first I didn't fully understand the issue of Palestine, but as more and more atrocities kept happening, I came to understand it more and became disillusioned with the role our own media and government has played.

True Islam never was against Jews including those who came to Palestine from Europe, fleeing persecution. Its all God's land. But it was against Zionism and the way they came with the express intention of creating their own homeland at the expense of Palestinians and with the intension to takeover the holy land, in a place that's the heart of the Muslim world.
