I have found this with most UBNt PoE network gear. Plug in certain devices connected to other and shit goes off. Same thing if you have a little power surge or tickle. Don't use shielded cables either, the UBNT switches hate grounding faults and way to touchy. Strong reason we not using UBNT network gear where PoE is required to be stable.

I am having a similar issue with 4 switches of the same model switch, however I am not sure what is triggering it. I am not using the serial/console cable. I am running fw 1.7.1 I have discovered that a reboot from the CLI via telnet will reactivate POE. I also noticed that running 'show environment' will show that the temperature sensors are N/A when POE drops. The ubnt.com community forum has some postings with similar issues.
