Imagine how many more people would have learnt to love music theory if it had been taught this well in school. Thank you. :)

After playing guitar for almost 28 years and learning by myself I decided to formally get a Music Degree in my country but the teachers I had made me feel so bad because they wanted to show off instead of teaching. I'm a lawyer with several degrees in my career and I've been also a teacher but I always wanted my students to be better than me. The music teachers I had made this so so so hard that I was almost frustrated. Why couldn't they explain this signatures understanding this easy? Why make everything look so difficult? I love you Gracie! Thanks for all the knowledge you give to us! Blessings!

All my musician buddies try to "mystify" theory all the time. Finally somebody that can "demystify" it for those of us who just want to understand!

The fact that experienced the same thing a lot of people in the comments did, shows how well You taught this! fantastic job, Thank You.

For the b's: It is always a perfect fourth down the last written b on the sheet. This also works for the first b of course, which is F Major (b flat down a perfect fourth leads you to F major). With that system you always check the last b or # that is written (last b: go down a perfect fourth, last # move up a half step), so it might be easier to memorize for some people.

You've demystified yet another area of music theory I've struggled with. I truly appreciate how you simplify topics of music theory. This was so valuable. Thank you, Gracie.👏

My musical education was choir practice for 8 years at school. As soon as I got to 3rd primary, the teachers told me to move my lips and not make a sound. Now that I'm retired, I thought it was never too late to learn the piano. And yes, music theory seems to be helpful. I've been watching a ton of your videos and you have such a great method of explaining this subject.
Merci beaucoup.

I'm currently teaching guitar to my 17 year old daughter and wanted to give her a good grounding in the rudiments which she can carry over to any other instrument.
She has struggled at school with music theory as she fell behind and needed a little extra help.
Not only has your channel been a priceless resource to her, it's also been a great help to me as I brush up on my theory (and teaching) skills. You make all of this fun to learn.
You are an explainer, not a lecturer - thank you so much for your time and effort.
I will recommend your channel as the go-to for anyone interested in learning music!

You are amazing, Gracie! I have been into music for decades and no one has ever shown me that simple trick. They always use the circle of 5ths. Keep up the great work!

Great tip. Been playing guitar (by ear) for almost 50 years. Just now getting around to the fundamentals (theory, music reading, etc) This was very helpful. Unlike most YouTube lessons this is practical tips you can use.
