Cango Wildlife Ranch – Kids Find Fun in Oudtshoorn (Episode 30)

Kids Find Fun – South Africa for kids! In our 29th episode we visited Cango Wildlife Ranch situated in Oudtshoorn in our beautiful South Africa. In this video we take a guided tour through the facilities and are in awe of all the amazing creatures and the great care and compassion the staff at Cango Wildlife Ranch have for the animals.

Things to do at Cango Wildlife Ranch:
• Cheetahland consists of a catwalk over large natural enclosures, which are home to some of the world's greatest big cats. View the cheetah, mighty lion, African leopard and the white Bengal tiger.
• The Kuranda Forest is an aviary filled with rainbow colored lorikeets. You also get the chance to purchase nectar and feed these beautiful animals while they make themselves comfortable on your shoulders and head.
• Lemur Falls is the only interactive lemur exhibit on the South African continent.
• Boa Constrictor snake encounter.
• A tropical house inhabited by giant flying foxes, the blue duiker and a tank offering an underwater view of Malawian cichlids.
• The Marabou Stork and Cape Vultures.
• Suspension bridge with 4-meter long Nile crocodiles swimming in the pool below.
• Madagascar Ring-tailed Lemurs in the exotic setting of Lemur Island, depicting the environment of Madagascar.
• Greater Flamingos
• Pygmy Hippos

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
What sets Cango Wildlife Ranch apart, is that they take their animal care and visitor safety standards to an international level. They accomplish this by ensuring they uphold internationally recognized accreditation by the Pan-African Association of Zoos & Aquaria (PAAZA). This specific accreditation has only been awarded to 4 facilities in the whole of Africa, it is extremely prestigious and difficult to achieve and is reviewed every 5 years.

Their Natural Encounter programs, along with their new Experience Department, offers visitors both young and old the chance to interact with a few of their ambassador’s species. They take their cue from the animals. Should for any reason, they do not react voluntarily, Cango Wildlife Ranch will not force the snake to participate in the encounter. Their health and well-being is the first priority.
