WHAT A DAY! This one was super special. If you watched my Berlin Marathon Goals video you'll know I was aiming for 2:27 or a little faster... spoiler alert - I crushed that goal! More importantly I chased the process goal I had for this race: to cross that finish line feeling excited to race another marathon. This might be my favourite video we've ever created, please enjoy!

Thank you SO much to the subscribers and supporters who were out there cheering me on and capturing footage - couldn’t have created this video without you and you gave me superpowers out there! ❤

The pacing on the video, Daniel ... the b-roll, quiet-to-noisy, quick-to-slow and back again. Beautifully done, sir. Chapeau.

Dan Nash, pacing a 2.25 and making it look easy. What a legend. Great run Philly; nothing feels better than a race going to plan. So good you can skip at the end. 9th fastest all time. Impressive!

I had a friend running so I was tracking him. After he finished, it suddenly occurred to me that, after watching your lovely videos that you were going for a PB in Berlin so I looked you up and I was weirdly delighted for you - a total stranger - that you’d achieved a massive PB and then I was desperate to see this video and kept searching for it and got more and more excited to see it. the strange power of YouTube! Massive congratulations to you. I’m a slow plodder but you inspire me to be a better runner. Thank you!

Actually, watched this with, I'll admit, a few tears streaming down my face to see you overcome so much adversity to run the race of your dreams. Thank you so much for sharing so much of your life with strangers and for showing what can be achieved with courage and a desire to never quit, even when the going makes you question why you are pursuing something that sometimes leaves you a bit battered. Brilliantly edited video that took us there. Love the grind, Phily. You are a remarkable person and athlete.

Dan, brilliant job, Daniel, fantastic videography. Phily, superb, your ability at this rarified level is shown by you running surrounded by blokes and not another woman in sight. I know there were others ahead, but not many…. Out-bloody-standing…. Your recent life decisions have been vindicated. You’re as good at those as at the running. World class.

Y’all didn’t have to go off in the race AND on the vlog, this is a cool watch. I found myself bragging to my step mom about how well you did yesterday and I don’t even know you. Thanks for bringing us in to feel like part of the crew

Got to love runners and what a modest bunch they are-Dan, the pacemaker, is a perfect example… so low key about running 2:15 and x6 sub 2:20! 🙏🧘‍♂️

It's seems like since you left being a NB pro athlete... You have set PBs in most of the distances you have raced. Congrats on all your successes so far and may it continues. Most of all, you are doing with a smile along with the warts and all. #keepitreal #lovethegrind.

24:12 - "I just love running!", hell yeah, I reeeeally felt that. And I also love watching people absolutely DELIVER in a race. You're a legend, Phily. And this film was so great to watch!

Phily - yesterday I improved my PR by 30 minutes in a marathon and qualified for Boston. I thought of you during the race crushing Berlin and it helped propel me forward when I was doubting myself. You are freaking amazing !
