I want to thank you again; we’ve been struggling with this exact problem for more than a week, and we debating whether to change a window, or call the company.. and today I watched your video, and I decided to try it; and it worked, saving my husband hundreds of dollars, and his sanity.

Good to see this video, fixed my issue with my sensor. Wish I had seen it before as the last time this happened ADT lied to me and said that the sensor was broken and I had to pay to replace their faulty equipment. Good to know it was an actual shake down.

Thank you. I had to chuckle at the placement of your transformer though. Ours is just in the laundry room with no screw, so my reset was quicker.

Thanks for the video. My issue is I have the same Keypad as you and the green back light is not coming on? When I reset system as u did in your video it came on, then turned off again a few seconds later. I do have a new battery coming in next week and not sure if it will help. Also when I remove transformer the wire we’re loose, I removed them and then retightened. Maybe I reversed them on accident? Could that make green light not stay on? Thanks

Thank you for this. Just moved into a rental home. This blasted thing kept going off today and showing movement window break etc all over. Have to keep pressing off on keypad every couple hours.
If I unplug the transformer ? And unplug the red/black wire on battery. Will that completely power down the system? Thank you

Mine shows BAT and it’s beeping, does it mean I have to replace the main battery? Or is there a panel battery? Same old system as yours, thanks.
