In this video i explain why the oil pan keeps leaking engine oil after changing the gasket. Some of the main reasons are overtightening, using too much silicone and gasket misalignment.

Appreciated, didn't know about the torque part before I started.

I wish I could take my Blazer to you and get this done. Two mechanics in San Jose, California said they no longer do oil pans.

Could a bad PCV valve also cause a new oil pan gasket to leak?

I also heard that a clogged differential breather can blow out the differential seals?

Please advise and thanks for your videos.

If you repair any oil leak,
And your pcv valve is stuck closed,
You will always have an oil leak
Check pcv valve/system when repairing oil leaks

Why, after all these decades, are there not places we can go to calibrate our torque wrenches??

Cant you just steel putty the out side or metal apoxy they should of been designed to have a steel strip of metal plate to bolt it on the separation gap maybe with a rubber gasket it or not under the plate or something to keep the plate real tight to the cylinder head or block or even a tight strapping design
