Well, She was TOLD that she would Never return to Narnia again. So there she was, forced to co.e back to a war-torn, unhappy world where she is "just" a child, not a Queen, and told to deal with it. So, she, traumatized by this rejection by her land and Lord (Aslan) did what she had to to survive. She learned to to live in THIS world, because Narnia was forever gone, for her. Yes, Susan's story hits deep for me. I'd like to think that when her time came, Aslan Himself gathered her broken form up, restored her, and apologized for the years of pain HE caused her!

I believe C.S. Lewis explained how, unfortunately, some Christians can and have lost contact with Jesus and turn away from him, be it indulging in sin or refusing to reach out to him.

It's actually very biblical if you look at it...the true Narnia being heaven- and the 3children who had faith in Narnia, reached there.

Susan - who became a woman of the world, busy in worldly desires, dressing up, partying etc and revoked her faith didn't end up in heaven.

And the end everything ends up in destruction and engulfed in fire etc - is like the end times prophecy, not exactly, but similar...

The author is heavily inspired by Bible to write this book.

I don't like how they handled Susan. It just never made sense to me.

I learned this a few years ago and it shocked me. I always knew the story was Christian but I never thought he’d actually just kill the children and banish their sister for the crime of being a teenage girl.

It's been years since I've read The Chronicles of Narnia, I so need to read them again. But I do remember that sad tale of Susan.

I remember many years ago reading those last sentences in The Last Battle, I bawled. I cried so much. It took me a while to compose myself. The ending is tragic, but that's the way it is.

I'll have to agree with the fact that, on its own, it seems far too harsh of an ending for Susan for basically nothing at all haha
However, you need to keep in mind that Narnia is a big allegory. Lewis wrote something similar to his own journey with Christianity in Susan's story, having himself been an atheist in his youth only to later reconcile with his faith.
On top of that, it's not that Susan was denied enter to paradise because she was a party girl (factually, she wasn't banned from paradise at all! She, like her siblings, was just told she couldn't go back to Narnia and none of them did! The Narnia they knew ended!) because the reason Susan turn her back to Narnia wasn't because she liked boys or lipstick or whatever, but because she got caught up in pretending to be a very adulty adult who does adult things, which is something deemed by the narrative as childish. Nevertheless, I agree that that part of the story could have been handled better (preferably without the twinge of misogyny in the way it was worded).
Lewis didn't leave Susan behind to punish her, but to give her enough time to find her own way back to Narnia and to Aslan. It's not a happy ending because for her it's not the ending.
(Does it make me less sad for her? No, but my feelings are independent from the author's intention)

Because she cares about traditionally "feminine" pursuits she's banned from Paradise. That tracks. Shall we talk about how she also undoubtedly has to identify her siblings after the accident?

everything isn't exactly destroyed and everyone does not exactly die, its the end times for Narnia like in the bible(revelation). this 'true Narnia' is basically the new heavens and earth in the bible and everyone who dies goes to heaven and some go to like hell(kind of).
