#Auxerre is a very picturesque city full of medieval charm in the north-west of #Burgundy, in the valley of the Yonne River.
Auxerre is famous for its ancient history and rich in architectural monuments. In the historical part of the city, many medieval half-timbered houses and a clock tower from the 15th century have been preserved.
The pearls of medieval architecture are the Abbey of Saint-Germain and St. Stephen's Cathedral.
