How to Build a Bato Bucket System

A variation of media bed techniques, Dutch buckets break the media bed system down into smaller components (the buckets). This approach offers several benefits.

Each bucket can be set up separately, allowing growers to space out larger crops (like tomatoes or eggplants) without wasting media.
Separate buckets can be useful in pest management as well, since an infected bucket can be removed from the system without having to sacrifice an entire bed.

My drip is way to light. I changed my drip emitters from button to pressure compensated ones both 2gph with no change. My flow through the irrigation system is solid because when i take off the drip emitters it sprays strong. Any ideas??

for a bato bucket with Cocopeat as media, do we need continuous flow of nutrient solution or should we time the pump to give solution at some frequency?

This is one of the best video's on the subject, thank you guys! Can you tell me what's the specific reason for the 90 degree angel drainage from inside the buckets? Is that to keep the lower 2.5" of water in the bucket for a longer period?

Can the same materials be used for a commercial system? Is PVC or PVC-U pipe able to be used in a commercial perspective?

Great video...I'm trying to figure out whether to go for bato buckets and normal free draining pots. Assuming in both cases the nutrient solution is reused the only difference is that in the bato bucket there's always a small layer of water. What is the advantaged compared to free draining pots?

What should be the space between two buckets and I see you filled the bucket with the medium. Wouldn't it hinder the root growth?
(Inexperienced so, pardon me if the question sounds funny).

Could you have just put the drain line on an angle to drain in place of cutting the bench ? Also on a covered patio / porch can these be placed on an inside wall? Thank you for the information.
