Bitwa pod Somosierrą – trwająca osiem do dziesięciu minut szarża trzeciego szwadronu 1. Pułku Szwoleżerów Gwardii Cesarskiej, przeprowadzona 30 listopada 1808 rano (około godziny 10.30) na przełęcz Somosierra w Hiszpanii na wysokości 1444 metrów n.p.m., przy 200-metrowej różnicy poziomów. Zakończyła się zdobyciem wąwozu przez polskich szwoleżerów i sukcesem armii napoleońskiej.

Effectivement, les chevau-légers polonais n'avaient pas la lance à Somosierra (1808). Les lanciers polonais de la Garde n'auront la lance qu'à partir de 1809
