You're certainly brave to touch Islam! I mean, it needs to be done, but I've followed the online Dawah / scene for a while, and those Muslims are...well, "aggressive" or "rabid" is an understatement. After a "debate" the comments also read like the teenage boy rantings of a troll factory, or a bunch of bots praising a political leader, such is the chest-beating, tribalistic fanaticism. If the Quran is true, then Islam is false. Why? Because the Quran says to trust the Gospel and the Gospel contradict the Quran. This means the Quran can't be true if it says the gospel message is also true.

As an arab atheist i just want to point out that the translation used doesn't fully capture the verse or gives a totally different meaning.
For example for the first one a more accurate translation:

"Exalted is He who created all pairs—from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know."

First of all this is a translation of the Qur'an.. Not the Qur'an. The Qur'an is in the Arabic language which I believe you don't speak.
I'll try to help you with that.

1. Glory be to the one who created all pairs, from what the earth produces, and from themselves, and from what they do not know. (This is more accurate). "things in" and "be it" are added by the translator and it is obvious as they're distinguished from the rest of the text.

2. The second one, there's no "behold!" in the original. And adding it here implies that it happens so fast which is not implied in the original, the word used is "نسلخ" which can be translated into stripping or peeling something off and the same word "نسلخ" is used for skinning animals in Arabic which implies it's not an instantaneous process. There's no issue here once you remove the added words.

3. The sun has an orbit! You really don't know that?!
Nowhere does the ayah say the sun moves in an orbit around the earth! That's a strawman. The Sun has an orbit and a time at which it will stop (That time is appointed by God) and when it happens, it would be the end of times.. It's easy to understand once you actually read it rather than putting your own words into it.

4. You need to read a book sometime. The Sun, the moon and the earth: each has an orbit. Actually the Qur'an stating that waaay before we knew the Sun had an orbit. Go research before you embarrass yourself in front of someone who has knowledge, as for the viewers, Don't follow blindly. Seek the truth. God will guide you if you're truly sincere.

I find explanations for words of Quran, especially by modern Muslims to be very creative. But I guess whatever line seems to work.

I think being created in pairs is about world being made of opposites of good vs bad, reality vs nothingness, right vs wrong etc.

Although this video is true, it’s a bit mean spirited. The corny dramatic music is too much. I think being more charitable and gentle in our reproach of Islam is more appropriate, there is no need to emulate their tactics when we know they are not fruitful.

Sounds like the Bible gets it right hundreds and hundreds of years before it was ever discovered that the earth is round and floats in the empty void that we call space.
