You have to check the play with a fixed and zeroed dial indicator and check the max amount of play from the turbo manufacturer. Also check for thrust bearing play, also measured with indicator.

That turbo is fine.

Up and down play is normal.
To check it I lift the compressor wheel up push in and turn back and forth. Listen for the turbine wheel to scrape on the housing. No scraping or very light is fine.

Pull it in and out, should have very little to no play.

Ensure its not leaking oil and you should be golden.

If it ain’t broke, dont fix it.
