My mother-in-law and I went to the Glowworm Caves at Lake Te Anau in New Zealand. It was such an insane experience, floating in a tiny boat and gripping our hands like a vice. It was our first real bonding experience.

We have glow worms in central Louisiana. As a child growing up on the bayou the night was my life. Used to turn over logs and find them all the time. Growing and finding out no one as ever heard of them is mind-blowing. I'm tempted on going back there and documenting them in the future.
