This looks nice for home, but you left out a very notable detail vs the MagSafe Duo that makes it an obvious loser for portability. The bigger one that has the watch charger is TWO POUNDS, which effectively makes it useless for travel.

To compare these to the MagSafe Duo is funny. The first one is for traveling, is foldable and very small and light weight. Still you can charge the phone and the watch at the same time. Also the watch charger folds away wich is important for travel.
I use the Duo together with a 100w Mopoint plug. So you have 3 USB-C and one USB-A and you can use the plug all over the world. It all fits great into the Bookbook CadySack. I think this bundle is the perfect travel companion. The Nomad both won‘t help. Too heavy and too bulky.

I ordered the black one. I have the Belkin Boost MagSafe 3 in 1 charger now but the watch part drives me nuts. The watch never lays correctly. I use the Belkin Boost MagSafe 2 in 1 charger for phone and AirPods at the office. That one is a great MagSafe charger. Don’t need to charge AirPods at night so this is perfect but you could charge AirPods on the phone section.

A pity the apple watch charger does not support fast charging for Apple Watch 7 and it seems the puck is flush with the base which indicates incompatibility with Apple Watches bearing a case.

My watch won’t charge sometimes with this. I set my watch on it and it starts to charge and then I come back and it stopped charging for some reason. The watch is still in correct position but it just stopped charging. It doesn’t do it every time but I find that about 3 or 4 times over the past 2 weeks it’s done it.

You need to turn down the white peeks on HDR. They are over blown.

Does the watch charger fold down? If it is supposed to be travel-able that piece sticking out would seem problematic.

it is a solid product, but to claim this is better than Apple's MagSafe Duo is pretty much comparing orange to apple (no pun intended). Apple's MagSafe Duo is portable and compact, while Nomad Base One Max is heavy and can't fold in half, but those are indeed not weaknesses if it is meant to be stationary.

I’d be skeptical of the claim it will pretty much forever. My own experience with Nomad has been quite the opposite. I’ve had 4 Nomad chargers, 3 of them stopped working in the first month, the fourth stopped working after about 12 months.

MagSafe duo and this compared? Apples and oranges…. Should compare this to Belkin or other table top chargers… no need for meme baiting

Doesn't close up like Apple. Good for at home I guess, but not got the convenience of Apple for travelling.

This is cool but to be honest, the whole charging arrangement for the Apple suite is a cluster at the moment; there are currently no elegant changing solutions.

Here we go again. Comparing the two is absolutely irrelevant, just like the existence of both products with an exception for Apple's MagSafe Duo - its portability. Which is also the reason for its existence. As much as I love Nomad and use a lot of their products, Nomad Base One is just an extension of what is already there, the charging cable. Unwieldy, bulky and the design is a miss if you ask me.

I have one of these and it’s literally worthless. I detects the phone about once every twenty tries, with or without a case on the phone. We also have a standard Nomad base that works fine, but this MagSafe model is awful. And worse, Nomad doesn’t accept returns on any merchandise that’s been used, even when it doesn’t work, so we’re just out the money for a paperweight. Believe me, this is a trash product - don’t waste your $150!!
