Dublin Pride: Rainbow flags filled the city as thousands the parade's 40th anniversary

Rainbow flags brightened the streets of the capital yesterday as thousands of people showed up to celebrate the LGBT community.

It marks 40 years since a protest that many consider to be the first official pride march.

This year's #DublinPride honoured the series of important anniversaries for a movement that has spent decades fighting for equal rights.
