Wayna Picchu hike Machu Picchu (also called Huayna Picchu hike, Stairs of Death and difficulty)

I visited Machu Picchu, the top attraction in Peru and one of the most popular attractions in the world.

But besides visiting Machu Picchu, the famous World Wonder in Peru, the most interesting thing to do there is to hike Wayna Picchu (also called Huayna Picchu).

To do this hike you'll need to buy specific tickets for Machu Picchu that include access to Wayna Picchu. These are the most limited tickets and are often sold out months in advance.
However, it's worth planning months in advance because, from the top of Wayna Picchu, you'll have the most amazing view of Machu Picchu.

The hike is a medium-challenging hike, and that's because the stairs are very steep, especially towards the end, as you reach the peak. That's why the internet calls them the Stairs of Death at Machu Picchu. But unless you are afraid of heights, you shouldn't worry and just admire the views.

At the top, you won't have enough space, and you won't be allowed to spend too much time, so take all your pictures just before that last ascent on the rocks.
