I did residential concrete for 30 years and did a number of stacked styrofoam block houses. Didn't like that stuff at all. I would say 'it's okay as long as you don't care about straight, level, plumb, or square. I used Faswall, a wood fiber block, identical to this, and it was made about 40 miles from my house. HUGE sound and thermal insulation properties. Not enough hemp available for it at present, so they use wood chips. I would also suggest to set the final course of blocks with mortar, and an insulating barrier on the outside.

Just adding water to the woodchips and mixing with cement is not good enough, what about the sugars in the wood fiber?
