You sir are my hero! I couldn't get my upholstery part to spray. It would suck strongly but no spray. Once I watched your video and replace the flow indicator, it came spewing out like a champ! Thank a million!!!

Thanks for the helpful video! I appreciate that you help DIY by even telling us the part numbers to order and then showing how to do the repair. Please keep sharing your knowledge.

How does this video only have 7k views! Such a great video, start to finish. The cardboard drawing with the screws was absolutely brilliant and I did reference it on reassembley! (7:20) Replacing the flow indicator fixed my accessory spray issue just as you described in your video. Luckily it wasn't the pump and it wasn't the solenoid. Thank you for providing the part number (1606811) and a visual description of the updated part. Mine was infact clear and the new one is infact hazy. Thanks again! Liked and subscribed!

Hey I didn't have the spray problem, but I had a suction problem on a rental. (Our stairs are moist now haha) Thanks to your video, we figured out how to remove the brush/nozzle attachment! (Note there may be a screw between the spray nozzle and the brush)
We removed what looked like a wet mouse from inside the attachment... But still clogged...
Unfortunately the clog was at the "thin" part, which I think is clear on your attachment (our rental is a metal plate) and we tried to unscrew that plate from inside the hose, but we almost stripped the screw so we left it alone.
This is the only video we found for maintaining the carpet attachment, so thank you.

big green hand sprayer not spraying, took it all the way down to the flow indicator. the hose opposite the flow indicator seems to be plugged up. I took that hose off the indicator and blew threw it. cannot blow threw it. nothing but back pressure. Can you tell me where that hose leads? Are there any videos showing where the hose goes that is going down toward the motor?

None of that, still having the issue. And I'm not only having the issue with the hose sprayer, the machine itself doesn't spray properly, the little read sprayer under the machine itself is not spraying carpet cleaner/water but it's dripping out in a straight line. And I'm not sure if I'm supposed to replace the pump or both pump and the solenoid valve, if I only needed to replace one of them that would be a waste of money... if I purchased two instead.

I just took out my Big Green Machine out to shampoo my carpet, when I pull trigger to spray the water nothing comes out. I checked the water tank pushing in the check valve water comes out.
I tried running BGM with the tank off and could see the water left in the inlet on the bottom of the BGM slowly get sucked in.
I saw your video and decided to try using the handheld attachment. When using that handheld attachment, the water sprays (with good flow). I am thinking that the solenoid valve may be bad, but I am wondering if the solenoid valve is only used for the main sprayer and not the handheld one. Do you know?
Thanks.

So my machine does spray from the bottom and I can use it the normal way. When it's in use the flow indicator spins fast. But when I attach the hose water won't spray out of it. I've taken the hose apart and it's not the little white trigger and no water flows out when I remove that white trigger. Do you think it could be the hose or something wrong with the flow indicator that let's me use it correctly with no problems the normal way but won't send water to the hose when I attach it?

Hi Wayne, highway my flow indicator works just fine when I am shampooing my floors I have on this for about a year now it’ll be a year in May I think and I’ve never use the furniture attachment. So I go to use it today I know it’s hooked up correctly and I plug it in and I pull the trigger and I get no water I get great suction but no water. So I am following your video and I takes it apart and there’s nothing wrong on the inside. So I have this going in hooked to the green machine and I’m not though when I pull the trigger the flow indicator is not moving so I pulled the trigger on the big green machine and the flow indicator worked so I’m not sure what my problem is is any suggestions? Thank you so much Tara

I just replaced the solenoid today on my big green carpet machine and it still isn’t spraying any water, is there another possible issue I should look for as to why it doesn’t spray?

Any suggestions for the following diagnosis?

My attachment device squirts water for approximately 1 second after I engage the trigger & stops.

If I let go of the button & re-engage the button, nothing.

If I turn the machine off & do it again, it once again, squirts for 1 second & stops.

I've removed the attachment from the hose & I have the same problem, so the cleaning attachment is fine & the hose is fine also.

The main floor cleaner works just fine also. I did replace the flow indicator a year ago, so I'd like to think that it hasn't failed again. The last time it failed, I was leaking water from there & I'm not having that issue this time.

Any suggestions?
