The negative tactics is what really led to this loss. The boys were sitting too deep, because they wanted to contain the game and were mostly playing for a draw. Oh well, onto the next round!

Give Ukraine a lot of credit. They took the game to USA and their #17 is a world class talent.

Lesson learned. Don't play for a draw. Time to get ready for Colombia in the knock out rounds.

Played pretty terrible. The lesson learned here is DONT PARK THE BUS!!!!

If the USA wants to be considered a world power in Soccer. We can't settle for the types of coaching maneuvers that were on display in the Ukraine match. While i agree the US did not play well on the field. They were also sabotaged by their own coach.

soccer minnows use "park the bus" tactics in the first half. Not the soccer powers.

Horrible game. I felt like when Ukraine pressed, it got USA off their groove and they couldn't hold possession/complete passes. The refs, I thought were horrible. Jordan Allen getting a free penalty call, calling (I believe) Acosta offside when he was about 2yds onside, no fouls being called for the USA. It was just bad.

Ukraine were always going to be a better side then USA. Most of their players play first team football in a good Ukrainian Premier league with or against teams like Dynamo, Shakhtar and Dnipro who are ranked in the top 30 clubs in Europe.

We really need to start looking at the game with different eyes, is not the bigger, taller, kind of football player we need on the field, that is a crappy mentality, we need the small/not so small freaking fast, agile and skillful player, damn, we have not learn anything from previous encounters??? world cups, international match? and here we are with the biggest defense line we can get and this guys ran all over us like we were cones!!!!

I knew Tab would fuck up sooner or later. He still has the American bunker mentality. We should have attacked them. He played for a draw and it backfired. We need to play every game for a win. That's what Germany, Holland, Brazil, and France do. The same way we played minnows like Myanmar and New Zealand we have to play Spain or Colombia. Also, that other American mentality where you start players out of position HAS. TO. STOP. What's the point of starting a player where he isn't comfortable? Where he can do his job. Jordan Allen isn't a striker, he's a winger, play him on the wing. Acosta isn't a left back, he's a defensive midfielder, play him in defensive midfield. Jamieson, my god he's terrible. Ben Spencer is 10x better, end of discussion. He's nothing but MLS hype. Ok he 's not terrible he probably just needs wingers or a strike partner to help him out. It shows how weak this squad Tab selected is. He selected good players but can't offer much in a significant tactical change. Colombia have struggled in the air, so its no or never for Jamieson.
