Keep in mind Cartier or gold from Walmart all have the same value in weight.It's great as a family heirloom but when it comes to investments it's about the weight unless it has big diamonds too. So for 20k worth of real gold make sure its solid and weighted and don't spend extra for a name if you don't have to.

I agree with a lot of the comments. To me the trend is not worth it. I spent 22k on my 18k gold wedding ring and bangle set that I personally designed and that’s worth the price and sentimental value.

I bought a fake van cleef bracelet for like 15 bucks in a random gift shop, never having even heard of the brand beforehand. Then suddenly I started seeing them everywhere! Now I'm annoyed because I don't want people to think I bought it because it's a fake of an expensive bracelet. I bought it because I liked the design lol

Just not worth it to me. Maybe it’s because I grew up poor, but $20, 000 on jewelry is insane. You can get good long lasting jewelry for less than that. It’s not about the pieces it’s about the brand and the bragging rights.
I don’t mean to be rude in any way but I just think it’s absolutely insane people care about something so trivial to the point they spend literal thousands on it. Not worth it.
