My grandma got me a chain for a religious holiday. I wore it for a couple years. In 6th grade I broke a link and went to fix it. The jeweler said “it’s Hollow. You can’t fix it.” It was a sad day for young Matthew. Now I only buy SOLID (thanks for trying grandma 🙏)

Lol ya but 800 and 8k are a huge difference and not everyone has 8k laying around to buy a necklace..if you put a pendant on the lighter chain it will not move around too much and if it dies break it's still gold and you will always get scrap price for it no matter what which is only a couple hundred less than what you pay at the store for it
