Wild how they would go through the effort of designing his helmet to appear on Hyperius, but haven't added it into the game as a wearable helmet. Always thought Locke's helmet looked bad ass.

As much as people didn’t like Locke I don’t think killing him off, off screen is how he should go out, after I watched the halo nightfall(I think) show I liked him more.

Someone mentioned this, but Cortana was also killed offscreen, and was a beloved character, Locke, being someone generally (if not universally) disliked/hated by the community, probably won't get much more screen time, but they left it ambiguous, just in case they can get away with it.
