Pro tip.. take Elmer's glue or similar and dilute slightly with water. Apply diluted glue to stitching and fabric you do not want to absorbe the dye (it can't because it is already saturated) and allow to dry. Now apply your dye. Then, if necessary (probably not for stitching), the glue solution is water soluble and can wash out with warm water. Resulting in clean dye lines.
