A very large and unusually healthy vigourous shrub rose, The lady of Shalott from David Austin roses reaches at least 5’ x 5’ planted individually it’s a real statement plant, Part of their best for flowering and best for health range it regularly produces upwards of 100 blooms at a time
For me the only downside to this plant is the lack of fragrance but the colour vigour and health far eclipse that

I have her planted on either side of the entrance to the front door. I find the scent light and refreshing. I'm in Australia, she is north facing (hot winds in summer) full sun and she is thriving, still has sporadic flowers through winter. I love ❤️ this rose but it's hard not to love most roses.
Ps I have purple iris at her feet. 💗

I planted her bareroot in November 2020, in July 2021 she had already reached a hight of 4´x 4´ and she had produced an abundance of flowers until end of November (the last rose in bloom in 2021). No sight of blackspot the whole time. Yes, you are right this Lady is a statement plant (even though I´m not the biggest fan of the colour orange - my problem) and a workhorse and I love her. I am so excited to see the first bloom of the Lady of Shallot in my yard this weekend. It is absolutely stunning. I did not expect much of a scent but turns out to be stronger than my expectation.

I like having the variety that this rose provides my garden. (I tend toward pink, purples, reds...) This one blooms well as long as I fertilize regularly. Blooms are medium size on mine and the color fades a lot as the blooms age.

I plant this summer The Lady of the rose tree start bloom. My tree is small and all the branches is not upright, is it because it is a new plant. The roses are so beautiful

Is it true the Lady of Shallot sold as a climber is the same for shrub, it is just how you prune?
I bought the “climber” version, but now think I really want to just keep it as a shrub, so wondering if I should return it?

Hi there...in our message exchange on your another video you recommended roald dalh over vanessa bell. But DA is out of roald dalh. I plan to buy gabriel oak, Eustacia vye and one more. I would like to grow in big pots but I can also put them in ground. Since Roald Dalh is not available, would you suggest Lady of Shallot? I find the color orange really good.

Hello there...can you please tell me how much growth 'Lady of Shalott will put out before she flowers that first flush?

Can I please ask if u had to choose between Lady Shallot and Bring me Sunshine, which one would be better? Both will have to be in huge planters (50 cm)/ troughs. Already placed an order for Gabriel Oak and Lady of Shallott. But rethinking .. would love to have all three but sadly have space for just two for now.
